Better choices at your convenience

Traffic light labelling
Healthy choice has defined a labeling system to help consumers identify food and beverages that are contusive to a balanced diet. Our labeling system makes it easy for consumers to identify appropriate food choices.

The red (stop) label identifies “treat foods”, those foods which should be consumed in moderation, once to twice weekly. Over consumption of these food types is leading to obesity and other diet related diseases.

The orange (slow down) label identifies those semi healthy options which should only be eaten every other day.

The Green (go) label identifies those items which should be consumed daily being contusive to a balanced nutritious diet.

Empty calories vs super foods, Some foods like walnuts for example are high in fats (energy) and would not qualify as a healthy option, however walnuts are full of essential nutrients, omega 3 and antioxidants, so are contusive to good health if eaten in moderation, thus are classified as a semi healthy option.

A crunchie bar on the other hand also yields a similar high energy value but the crunchie bar has no real nutrient value, thus this food belongs to the treat food category.
